JetBlue has announced it will offer free in-flight e-mail and instant messaging (IM) access via a partnership with Yahoo!, LiveTV and Research In Motion (RIM). The deal makes JetBlue the first U.S. carrier to provide this service. The in-flight e-mail and IM services will be available on “BetaBlue,” the airline’s first Airbus A320 equipped with an onboard wireless network.
