Dirty Trackball Dilemma Over?

We have all been through those nightmares where your trackball just finds its way to become darker and darker. No matter how much we cleaned our hands before using our BlackBerry devices, the trackball just managed to find a way to lose its “pearl” white color. We saw posted on many forums how to keep it clean and maintain it, but lets be serious: none of it is really practical. Black trackballs have become normal routine for the average BlackBerry addict. It is a phase you just go through after 2+ months usage.
The all new upcoming BlackBerry Curve 8900 seems to come stock equipped with a BLACK trackball.  Strangely, it still illuminates white when the phone is active, but seems to maintain a nice black color when not active.  Not like our dirty tinted trackballs.  So we continue asking if this dilemma is really indeed over?  Does the “black trackball effect” apply for BlackBerry devices even after the 8900?  Sorry folks, we just don’t know yet.
