Before the United States ofcourse. Not even the slightest suprise for us. But all you folks out in India should be plenty happy.
The smaller sibling of the Bold, the Curve borrows from its classy design cues and offers users a host of features in a compact frame. The only thing some users might miss out is the option to go 3G. However, this might not be a major concern here in India, thanks to our lack of 3G coverage. The lack of the 3G chip could also mean a considerably lower price than the Bold or even the Storm (which incidentally does not have WiFi!).
The handset seems perfect for the businessman on the move. As for the design, you cannot but notice the chrome strip at the bottom and wonder if folks at Nokia were impressed with this so much that they decided to give a similar treatment to the E71.
The phone weighs only 110 grams and supports GPS with an inbuilt chip, supports location-based applications and is optimized for access to several social networking sites. Unlike the Storm, this one does feature WiFi and then, there is the standard QWERTY keyboard thrown in as well.
It also has a 512MHz processor for fast number crunching. As for the memory, the device comes with a 1GB microSD/SDHC card and supports up to 16GB of memory. RIM hasn’t compromised on the multimedia front as well. Apart from featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera, the phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack and support for various media types.
The phone is available at the Vodafone, Airtel and Reliance networks.
