Based on a tip from Boy Genius, it is said that Orange UK is going to be the first mobile carrier in all of Europe to have Pay As You Go BlackBerry device with its services.  At the moment, there is the Pearl 8120 device that will sell for £145 and a silly £5 monthly fee.  Pretty good deal so far.  Rumor has it that these prepaid BlackBerrys will be going out on the market as soon as tomorrow!
