We promised to release what we found out about yesterday’s 4.7.0.90 leak. After seeing people’s insight, it was made known that a lot of bug issues have been fixed such as freezes and lags. Putting all that aside, there is a QWERTY keyboard when using it “portrait” style. That is definitely fascinating. Thanks to our guys over at Engadget, we are able to show you a screen shot provided by them. I must say, it was a bit inconvenient for those who were used to the QWERTY keyboards in previous models, and were forced to use SureType in portrait mode. Sure in landscape mode you’d have QWERTY, but not everyone wants to type with two hands all the time. Now with this feature, one handed simple typing is possible again. Enjoy this update folks; you guys deserve it.

Here are some shortcuts for your BlackBerry Bold 9000. To allow these short cuts to work, you must have “Dial from Home Screen” set to “No”
”(go to Phone dialer > Options > General Options.)”
Also note that you only need to tap the key to get these applications – if you hold down the keys then the appropriate Speed Dial number is still dialed.
That will enable the shortcut keys to go directly into native applications. So, from your BlackBerrys Home Screen, to get to Tasks, you can simply tap the “T” key and “D” for Memo Pad. The shortcut key for an app is underlined in its name if it’s available. Here are several we have collected:
* ”’(A)”’Locks the device
* ”’(B)”’rowser
* ”’(C)”’ompose Message
