We spent a little over a month testing out the new SlingPlayer application designed for BlackBerry smartphones.  Overall this application was really fascinating as you received your television broadcast via mobile.  Although it was a battery killer, this application works great in a car attached to your handy dandy car charger.  Speaking of which, using SlingPlayer in transit tends to cut off as you move in between towers and reducing to EDGE/GPRS from 3G.  The lag in between switching channels is a little too long in my opinion, but all these will get fixed in the new updated release I’m sure.  Atleast we got this application before Apple!
