Toshiba has been hiding for awhile cooking up a big project to supposedly take on the iPhone and the BlackBerry Storm.  They call it a “major but slimmer competition for this summer.”  The TG01 phone they are releasing is equipped with a 4.1-inch screen powered by Qualcomm and rocking a 1GHz chipset.  In addition it obviously will include the native “norms” such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with a microSD card slot.  Which carriers are to provide this phone?  By the way this phone looks and sounds, I don’t think it will go on to AT&T as it is to side by side in competition that way.  We have the Storm via Verizon, iPhone via AT&T, and the G1 via T-Mobile.  It’s going to be interesting for sure.  Let’s see what this summer brings with the device.
