Telefónica o2 Germany Presents Trends and Product Strategy for 2009

Telefónica o2 Germany eases the access to IP telephony for businesses with the new telephony solutions o2 IP-Voice-Line and o2 IP-Voice-Pure, which enable business customers to use future-proof IP telephony solutions. The company’s products provide solutions for every customer, whether companies want to continue to use their existing ISDN telephony system, or whether they plan to switch completely to the new technology.

O2 IP-Voice-Line is the entry-level solution for IP telephony in companies: businesses are connected to the IP voice network of Telefónica Germany via a gateway which is linked to the available telephone system. Additional technical adaptations or the replacement of the existing ISDN telephone system is not required. And, customers can continue to use their existing phone numbers.

With O2 IP-Voice-Pure companies opt for a consistent IP-based telephony solution and ideally gear up for future technological developments. The “Voice over IP” (VoIP) voice service is adapted to the requirements of businesses, depending on the size of the company and the number of required voice channels. IP-Voice-Pure builds up on the existing internet access, or can be used with any O2 internet access, provided an IP-enabled telephone system is available.

The fixed network portfolio is complemented by O2 Business Preselection: With this option, customers keep their ISDN connection and their telephone system. O2 offers very favourable tariffs for all outbound calls – without any fixed contract period or monthly basic fees.
