AT&T releasing a Camera-less BlackBerry Curve 8900…?
by The PocketBerry Team
Strangely but true. It’s been confirmed from the guys over at BGR. In this inventory list it shows a non camera 8900 series phone. If you think about this, it seems as though this will be 3G based. In earlier posts about the 3G Curve coming out with WiFi and GPS, I stressed the fact that it would tick off a lot of recent Bold buyers if the new Curve was equipped with all 3: 3G, WiFi, GPS.
Who remembers the 8820? At the time, you could not get a BlackBerry with both Wifi and GPS. If you did, you got the 8820, and sacrificed the camera functionality. There wasn’t a BlackBerry that had all 3. Now we see the 8900 with both GPS and WiFi, but lacking 3G. Is it a possibility that this new camera-less Curve will have 3G? I think it is a fair possibility, and Bold users won’t be so angry either! Stay tuned for more info.
