Some phones try so hard to be BlackBerrys

I know, I couldn’t beleive it when i saw it either.  First we saw Windows Mobile taking its shift towards iPhones in creating big desktop icons and things of that nature, now we see Windows Mobile devices such as this iMate here (picture from MobileSyrup)which is just confused between a Pocket PC and a wanna-be BlackBerry.  Is that a trackball in the middle? Whatever it is, they are trying to make it look the same fashion as the BlackBerry.  I had to share the sorrow with you folks, and I will continue to do so as long as the FCC allows these replicated phone models to come out!

    wow, harsh but very true at the same time, looks more like a wedge not so much the trackball, actually i could be mistaken…

    man every maker wants their phone to be a BlackBerry and iPhone. Palm was all about BlackBerry competing, now theyre going for the Pre. what kind of name is the Pre anyway? are they trying to say its a pre-phone, as in it's a beta model? frustrating, very blah.

    i feel everybodys pain, as i had to witness that picture for myself, no disrespect to any of the phone makers, but this one carries too many characteristics of a BlackBerry smartphone.
