NII Holdings today announced that Nextel Argentina, Nextel Brazil, Nextel Mexico and Nextel Peru will offer the BlackBerry® Curve(TM) 8350i smartphone. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i is the first BlackBerry smartphone in Latin America to offer this unparalleled combination of services and features with Nextel’s industry-leading Push-to-Talk (PTT) service along with premium phone features, the industry’s leading email and messaging capabilities, web access, productivity applications and rich multimedia capabilities. Also, it includes Wi-Fi® and 128MB of internal memory. This powerful and flexible smartphone for mobile business users is available exclusively to Nextel customers in Latin America.

The BlackBerry Curve 8350i smartphone is a leading device that includes Push-to-Talk service.  Enabling this service in South America will allow instant and effective communication between NII subscribers and over 10 million iDEN subscribers in North/South America.  Also by doing so, emailing for work and personal never got easier!  The Curve 8350i not only has a built in radio for push-to-talk service, but built in Wi-Fi as well to access local wireless networks in range.  The internal memory has been upgraded from the tradition 8300 series we know.  It’s been given 128mb which is a huge upgrade from the traditional 64mb that was in previous devices.  Of course there is the expandable memory slot for adding addition storage.
