Here’s some interesting news from VeriSign.  We now see a identity protection software (available free for download at the moment) for BlackBerry devices.  Read below for more info provided on the VIP program provided by VeriSign.

The VeriSign Identity Protection (VIP) Developer Test Drive makes the powerful functionality of the VIP Authentication Service available to developers by exposing the APIs in a pilot environment. By using the VIP Authentication Service API, available through a free download, developers can quickly evaluate how easy it is to enable their own applications for two-factor authentication using the VIP Authentication Service.
VeriSign provides developers who register for the VIP Developer Test Drive with access to the pilot VIP Authentication Service, API documentation, and software credential simulators to generate security codes.
The VIP Authentication APIs are based on industry standard SOAP Web Services, making it extremely simple to integrate into a wide variety of platforms and development environments. The VIP Authentication Service has a user-friendly experience; once the user successfully signs in with their username and password, the VIP Authentication Service validates the unique security code generated by the user’s credential.
