ebay-9630-3

Earlier this weekend on March the 14th, we saw an eBay auction for a BlackBerry Niagara 9630 go for $1,995.  Yes it did sell as a “Buy it Now” and the new owner will definitely walk tall in the streets as he has a leaked device that no one else has!  Here’s a clearer crisp picture of the device, without all the blurryness as we have seen before.  This image came from the auction itself.

update

Hello all I’m updating this a little bit before i had figured I had to but that’s okay! I’m happy to announce the great response to my previous post. It seems that we my have a PocketBerry.com theme sooner than we had imagined and for that i am truly stoked. I have received a few emails from people who expressed a lot of enthusiasm and who really wanted to help us out. I have to thank those people for there quick responses, good job folks.

We do have some new information as to what we are looking for and the criteria of the theme! Email me at cory@pocketberry.com for all the details.

Anyways, so the major part of this blog was to descibe to both those who have or intend on submitting an entry and more importantly for those who are not yet convinced of this little contest. I have worked really hard the last 24 hours to come up with a nice package for those who help create the PocketBerry theme. Here are the winnings:

For 8100 to 9000 devices ( not sure if they work on 8900):

  • FlipSide – Next Generation MP3 Player – $20 value
  • eMobile Contacts – Advanced Contact Manager – $15 value
  • 2 Premium Themes – $10 to $15 value
  • Theme Builders Package – 100 wallpapers + 200 icons
  • Also a game. We haven’t chosen it at this time
  • New package for storm users coming soon!

Anyways, as I said in my last post if you want to submit an entry or even just discuss the concept we have in mind email me at cory@pocketberry.com OR add my to blackberry messenger my PIN is 31C99855.

Also, I have to thank my friend Brent for hooking me up with the licenses and the wallpapers! Thanks buddy ill come see you in B.C. soon!!

rogers-blackberry-9900

The 9900 details and images have been revealed, and I am not as psyched as many are right now.  Don’t get me wrong, it is a very attractive looking device, and I was looking forward to a touchscreen version of the Bold since it released.  The device not having the trackball is the biggest let down in my opinion.  But who remembers the end of the side wheel on BlackBerry?  It was missed for a little, but in a matter of time, everyone loved the trackball.  Maybe this is just evolution and that is the steps it takes to become the most solid device out there.

The 9900, formerly known as the code name “Pluto” comes equipped with its fast processor and 3G support of course.  Rogers will be getting it around Q3, but I wouldn’t expect seeing it any early than Q4 given all the delays we have seen in the past.

• Must have worked with (and preferably already created a theme with) the latest version of Plazmic Theme Builder.

• Must have some themes for us to see (simply to see where your at in theme building and if you can deliver the product we require).

• Strong work ethic would be nice!

• Must be able to design the background as well as the other required components BUT I will design the icons and what not if need be!

If you have questions or are interested email me at cory@pocketberry.com!

Late February, we posted the Funny Ad for BlackBerry and now we see a remake of the clip, but this time Apple wins.  Also the message in the end of the commercial has been changed.  We see the link for “PleaseFixTheiPhone.com” as well.  The website provides missing links while  featuring ways to better your iPhone if you own one and are unhappy with it.
