Hello everyone! One of my favorite apps was updated today, Qik! Qik is one of those apps i think everyone needs and not enough people have. Its one of those apps that come in handy all the time. Qik basically lets you make an online account through there service, download the app, and stream live video to your personal profile. With its new interface it makes the application that much better. OTA Link available below
“Qik enables you to share your moments live with your friends, family and the world—right from your mobile phone!”
Theres no change log with this application so im still trying to find all the little changes. So far this is what i know:
- Location awareness based on CellID or GPS. You can set the settings to:
- Off: When set to this, the location from where you are streaming is not captured.
- City: The location is captured and displayed at the city level, i.e. viewers will see the city from where you are streaming and nothing more.
- Street: The street from where you start streaming is displayed to the viewer.
- Track Live/Precise: In this case as you stream and move around, your location is tracked and displayed.
- Qik’s interface has now also changed and if Wi-Fi is not available asks if you want to switch to 3G or stay
with WiFi. - UI now lets you upload a video from the menu, name your video, describe your video, send a twitter alert of your video, and mute audio.
Visit Qik and sign up HERE! Make sure you download Qik OTA from HERE or HERE!
