Hello everyone, for those of you who do not know, The Rundown is my special little blog here on PocketBerry.com! What i basically do is either purchase or obtain premium software from the companies or some friends and than review it using my personal opinion, the opinion of my friends and partners here at PocketBerry. I than add some facts and finally give a rundown of the facts and features in the application.

With that being said, I bring to you the second rundown blog. Today, i will be discussing and reviewing File Manager Pro which a friends of mine named Darren purchased for me and the PocketBerry Crew. Thanks buddy!

File Manager Pro is a great application. Everyone at PocketBerry loves it. Many of people have wondered if its worth it because of the release of BBFileScout and everything that comes with it. I personally think it is worth the $11.95 price tag attached, and here’s some major reason’s as to why. File Manager Pro is super fast, from the time you launch the application, do what ever it is you need to do (and there is A LOT to do), and than close the application, it is consistantly very fast. Another thing File Manager Pro does is show absolutely EVERY aspect of your phones memory and we all know how important this can be at times. The ability to show hidden files, compress and send files is essential for any file manager program and File Manager Pro shows no weakness in any of those features.

I would also like to mention that the menus, options, and functionality are all very computer like and easy to both understand and use for even the people who are not that knowledgable with BlackBerrys and/or Computers.

But anyways, as always here is The Rundown:

All standard file operations.

Copy, Move, Rename, Delete, New Folder and Send as Email. In addition, recursive Copy, Move and Delete operations are supported.

Manage your Zip archives.

Open and browse Zip archives the same as you would folders. Extract all of the contents, or select and extract just a subset. Create new archives or add to existing ones.

Select multiple files and folders simultaneously.

Select multiple files and folders at the same time. Do any file operation on the selected items, including compressing them into a Zip archive or sending as email.

New! Search for files and folders.

Search for files in a single folder or across multiple folders, even recursively. Specify whether to search on whole words only or to use case sensitivity. Select files in the search results and perform any file operation. And File Manager Pro is blazingly fast, searching 1000′s of files in seconds.

Sort and view files your way.

Sort files by Name, Size, Type or Date, in either Ascending or Descending order. Specify the display of file information, and control the viewing of hidden files.

Fast access with the Favorites list.

Avoid tedious folder navigation by using the Favorites list to quickly access frequently used files or deeply nested folders. Jump directly to your destination with a single click.

Modify file attributes.

View file and folder properties, and assign the Read-Only and Hidden attributes.

Launch files in Documents to Go.*

Click on a Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or any file with a native format program, and File Manager Pro will open it automatically in its application. Click on any media file — audio, video or image — and have it launched in your media application.
