It’s been a really exciting morning as we all of us Bold users here at PocketBerry decided to download OS 5.0!

There’s been some coverage on other blogs as to some small bells and whistles added to the OS but nothing really major.  That is pretty much true, although the new BlackBerry Messenger looks really good and we do have a new added application called Files.  So what does Files do?  It’s basically a browser for all your files on your BlackBerry without going through Media then clicking explore.  You can go to any folder on both your phone memory and microSD card memory.  I strongly believe that’s a nice upgrade as we all see these file manager programs which aren’t usually free to download.  Picture browsing is now very “iPhone-ish” as you can use your trackball to slide between photos.  This is so much better than the tradition ‘N’ and ‘P’ commands.

Glitches?  Yeah we have seen some.  A lot of websites gave us trouble loading at times, but did work eventually.  On my Bold personally, I am not experiencing those anymore.  When typing, it seems that the device isn’t picking up 1 out of every 7 lettered words or so.
