howard-stern-ratings

In getting a lot of air time, the Palm Pre attempted to make its statement by getting lots of air time on Howard Stern’s station, but ends up backfiring as it became a cheer for RIM.

Stern started off by saying that the Pre was a “fine phone,” but said its inability to connect to Lotus Notes was a “deal breaker.”  After that, he was talking about the BlackBerry Bold 9000 and how incredible its features are.

b-blackberries

It’s been an exciting morning as we got details on upcoming BlackBerry devices.  Below you’ll see some general specs of the new devices soon to release.

BlackBerry Onyx:

  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
  • GPS
  • Camera
  • Wi-Fi (no UMA support)
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • 480×360 resolution screen
  • Confirmed carriers: AT&T

BlackBerry Driftwood:

  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
  • GPS
  • Camera
  • Wi-Fi with UMA
  • QWERTY keyboard

BlackBerry Magnum:

  • GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS device
  • GPS
  • Camera
  • Wi-Fi (no UMA support)
  • QWERTY keyboard
  • 480×360 resolution screen
  • Confirmed carriers: AT&T

It looks like the Driftwood and Magnum are pretty much the same but there is no confirmation on Driftwood’s screen size.  The Magnum is AT&T confirmed and the Driftwood is UMA enabled which can only mean T-Mobile.  All these devices are rumored to have 3G capability.  To me it looks like descendants of the Bold.  It’s really exciting hearing about these upcoming devices and these devices are going to be hot.

Hey everyone I found this application while just looking through MobiHand and thought I’d give it a try.  All you have to do is purchase it or download the trial, install it on both your PC and BlackBerry, and than connect using USB, WiFi, or Bluetooth. Its simple, and very easy to understand. They only thing was it was a tad touchy at times but its really no trouble at all.

MobiMouse allows you to control the Windows cursor with your BlackBerry trackball or the touchpad on your BlackBerry Storm. You can even adjust the Windows volume control using the volume keys on your BlackBerry or press the mute key on your BlackBerry to mute the sound. MobiMouse supports full use of the BlackBerry keyboard. You can type on your Blackberry it will show up in whatever Windows application your are currently using. It even allows you to assign Windows Applications & Shortcuts to BlackBerry convenience keys. For example, you can launch Windows Media Player, iTunes, PowerPoint, or even a DVR application right from your BlackBerry! You can also assign shortcuts to close an application, open the default Browser, Task Manger, and many more!
