As we saw in early December where the former CEO Ted Rogers passed away,  there were talks in who was going to be the next CEO.  It looks like Nadir Mohamed, who was with the company since 2000 as the COO just got promoted to CEO.  An interesting fact is that Mr. Mohamed is not only on the Board of Rogers Communications, but is also on the Board of Governors for Ryerson University and TD Bank Financial Group.

It’s been out for quite some time, but I felt the need to address it to everyone all over again.  If you don’t, you should at least give it a try.  What does it let you do?  You can listen to the best of XM Radio right on your BlackBerry!  XM Radio Mobile offers the best commercial-free XM music channels – from Hip-Hop to Country, Rock to Jazz and so much more, plus 24-hour Comedy, delivered directly toyour BlackBerry.  The clarity of the sound is really good (don’t expect Dolby Digital on your 8100 or 8800).

With split-screen color graphics, you can easily view channel, artist, and song titles at the same time you are scrolling through other XM favorites. The XM Radio Mobileservice can also be minimized so that users can enjoy listening while they email or utilize other BlackBerry applications. All that – AND it’s fun and easy to use!

bbappworld_black_lowres1capture0_53_34

Its been around 72 hours since the BlackBerry App World launch and we see a brand new update! I believe this is yet another communications fix but i am not yet sure of what exactly the changes are. Seems a little bit quicker on my curve but i am not entirely sure this is because of the update although it could be. While i was doing my run through of App World, which i do after every update to see if there are changes, i noticed that Facebook was gone! I did a search, looked through the social networking category and than the top downloaded apps and it is no where to be found! Could this mean its being updated to 1.5? Keep an eye out folks because if my suspicions are correct we may see 1.5 very soon!

RentCell isn’t your typical cellular service you see around.  It does exactly what you think it does: providing rental cell phones.  They have all types of other phones you can rent, but BlackBerry is obviously the main key.

Now there are different approaches with the plans they provide.  You can actually rent an unlocked device and activate it overseas in which ever country you are roaming.  The other option is renting it within the US with a US number and data plan already equipped.

So how much is this going to cost you? You can rent a BlackBerry camera phone with unlimited data for as low as $12 daily, $10 daily for two weeks+, $8 daily for 30 days+.  It really is a cheap deal you should consider if you are in need.
