The BlackBerry store was scheduled for today to open at 10:30 a.m today. ”This is the only store in the world strictly BlackBerry,” said Bill Swift, the managing partner for Airport Retail Management. ”It provides customers with significant items to choose from, and staff expertise. The store has all the batteries, headphones, and software that you can imagine for any BlackBerry device.”
All the BlackBerry store staff members have been trained on all aspects of the BlackBerry for three months before being assigned to the store. Expect to deal with professionals upon entering.
The BlackBerry store offers customers all of the smartphone models, as well as devices such as the Remote Stereo Gateway, which allows a user to wirelessly play music stored on a BlackBerry through a stereo system.
A really cool device they have there called the Impatica ShowMate, is available for BlackBerry users who want to boycott their laptops and stick to their BlackBerrys. ”It allows you to connect the BlackBerry to a LCD projector, and be able to do a PowerPoint presentation right through the library,” said Swift. That’s definitely some neat technology we haven’t seen appear from RIM yet. As exciting as it is, you can go ahead to Atlanta yourself to see this store.

Over the past few months, there has been quite a big hype over QWERTY devices releasing as well as the famous BlackBerry Storm 95xx series and soon to be newer model Storm supporting WiFi. If we can think far back enough when the BlackBerry released its first multimedia phone, you may recall the BlackBerry Pearl 8100. This phone changed BlackBerry usage in so many ways. Not only was it a multimedia device equipped with a camera, it was a lot smaller than your average BlackBerry!
As the Curve came out through different carriers and specs, we continued seeing the Pearl grow into WiFi capabilities as well as GPS. The devices remained consistent and there were really no setbacks on anything.
Once upon a time, a new BlackBerry Pearl was to hit the market, this time in flip phone format. Many were crazed about it, while many were also disapointed as they hated flip phones but fancied the SureType technology. So how popular is this BlackBerry Pearl Flip 82xx now? Not as popular as people thought it would be. With alsmost a year being released, we don’t see or hear of any other carriers dying to get this phone on their shelves.
In my opinion, the flip phone Pearl does not work for the BlackBerry user at all. It’s a whole new BlackBerry style being introduced to the flip phone concept. Sure the screen was nice, and the keypad was easy to type on just as the 71xx series, but it didn’t cut it, and many genuine Pearl users were dissapointed.
So what’s next RIM? Will we be seeing further SureType devices? Hopefuly not flip phoned out and just the necessary advancements this time. How about a wide screen BlackBerry with SureType? There’s too many ideas to throw out there, but we should leave it to the great designers over at RIM.
Drop us a line here and let us know your ideas.

BluFocus and NetBlender will debut an updated mobile app for the iPhone, BlackBerry and other smartphones next week that will allow Blu-ray owners to transfer bonus and interactive features directly from their BD discs and players to phones. Pretty cool or what? What about the full movie if we want? Either way, the service sounds really neat, and I am very curious as to how great the quality will be or if it will just be another 3gp clip. The application will be available for FREE at the iTunes store beginning this weekend. The article doesn’t mention App World, but says it will be available for everyone as of this weekend.. we’ll have to wait and see.
