Not fully yet, but you can get the desktop download and update it traditionally for now.  If not, wait til 10PM tonight where an OTA will actually be available through your Storms.  I expect to see high volumes of downloads at 10pm sharp so let’s all be patient as we attempt to update our BlackBerry devices.  It’s exciting to see that the official build is out, many of us have been on this OS version through other carriers but a big thanks to Verizon for almost catching up on time.  Tune in tonight on your Storms for an official OTA download for the BlackBerry Storm 9530!

In this new update, skipping issues and album covers not updating in time has been pretty much fixed here.  If you’re not using WiFi, you’ll see that the connection is a lot better now and skips are not happening as frequent as they were before.  To download the next update, please tune your mobile browsers to www.slacker.com

As it is called the Rainbow theme, it’s not as flashy and light as you think it would be.  In fact, the main home screen is pretty dark and just has the rainbow in the background.  This theme is great for everyone trying to get in the spirit of the summer and nice weather that is here or will still come about.  Special thanks to xfluidx for providing this theme.

If your interested in trying the all new Skype app for BlackBerry, today is your lucky day.  There is a leaked version over at MegaUpload for you to try.  It is still in beta, but give it a shot and see how the platform looks.  This is only for the BlackBerry Storm, sorry to everyone else rockin’ non touch screen devices.

One more apology for the download not being an OTA file.  Sorry folks! I know desktop downloads seem so old fashioned but they are still around!  Click below to download the fill zip file.

Hey everybody! It’s been awhile since I’ve got the chance to blog!  But, I am back my friends and I am starting by reviewing four of SplashData’s products. Yesterday I received an email from a rep of SplashData, Kevin Doel, and he had mentioned that PocketBerry.com has not yet had the chance to have a full review of there product’s and being the nice guy he is he hooked me up with the keys to there products so I can give all of our lovely readers a look at there amazing products!

I am actually not completely ignorant when it comes to SplashData products as I have tried the trial versions of there products before and personally loved them.  I like to think of SplashID as your own high security prison for all your data and information.  After seeing what they actually put into this program i had to problem filling it with what ever information I had. Anyways, here is the first of the four reviews i will be doing on SplashData products.

evernote

After their recent release, Evernote was out for the Bold, Storm, and Curve 8900.  Now it looks like there has been a high demand for the all the 83xx users out there and for those reasons Evernote is now available for them as well!  This covers the 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, and 8350i.

What’s Evernote?  For those unaware, Evernote helps you capture your memories using almost any device that you have within arm’s reach. Type out text notes, snap photos, or record voice memos on your BlackBerry then sync them to your Windows or Mac computer to have easy access on all devices. It works the other way, too. Clip a webpage or draft a blog post on your desktop and then search for and access it all on your phone.  It’s a great software for everyone who owns a BlackBerry.

To download Evernote, head over to the BlackBerry App World.

Looks like Facebook 1.6 is getting delayed by RIM due to some bug issues that were being faced when operating on the BlackBerry platform.  How much longer will it take?  I would say no sooner than another month from today as many other blogs agree as well.  Sorry folks but we will keep you tuned for more information as it may or may not change.
