BlackBerry Onyx gets a review already
by The PocketBerry TeamThe folks over at CrackBerry have been able to get their hands on the BlackBerry Onyx we kept hearing about in the past and saw some leaked images of that RIM wasn’t too thrilled about. We came across the new and improved Curve 8900 which provided WiFi with no 3G. Forget having just one, as it has both 3G and WiFi in it. With its small Curve size, it seems very impressive. As it appears to be the same thickness as the BlackBerry Curve 8900, RIM has went ahead and made it quite thinner especially on the side edges. The gunmetal back and sides give the phone a nicer feel and look than the cheap chrom the Curve 8900 and Bold 9000 got.
Here are the main specs on the device:
- 3G device – GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS (Bands: 850, 900, 1800, 1900)
- 480 by 360 display, beveled edges
- 256 megabytes of internal memory (same as Curve 8900, 8520)
- 1550mAh M-S1 battery (same as Bold)
- 3.2 megapixel camera, with flash and auto focus
- Processor: Not 100% sure actually, but am hearing its a Tavor processor that may be running even a bit quicker than the Bold’s 624MHz processor (definitely seems snappy)
- GPS, WiFi (UMA capable but we’ll see what happens there), and all the normal stuff you’d expect on a BlackBerry smartphone
