nin-musician-trent-reznor-confirms-a-blackbeery-version-of-his-app-is-underway

So who’s Trent Reznor?  He’s in the band NIN (Nine Inch Nails) and has posted quite an interesting Twitter post today.  The update reads “Work is underway for a new BlackBerry version of the NIN app.  The answer to your next question is ‘soon.’ ”  From what we heard, rumor has it that the software release for the iPhone was really hectic as Apple gave the band a hard time and rejection in the end.  Apple eventually let the update pass after a series of angry emails were sent with some changes to the app.

Even though Reznor was furious with Apple’s silly approval process, he still is less passionate about the BlackBerry.  He continues to stress that the iPhone is “the most elegant, modern smartphone at this point in time,” and BlackBerry devices are “OK” with “inconsistent hardware.”

captureay

BerryReview posted the same theme earlier today for the Bold 9000, and we thought we’d share with you the Storm version of it.  Look familiar?  Does Dunkin Donuts ring a bell?  I myself am a Starbucks fan, but Dunkin Donuts has been around in my life for quite awhile and I do like their coffee a lot!  Getting back on track to the theme, it looks just like Dunkin Donuts logo and slogan except it says BlackBerry and “American Runs on BlackBerry.”  Pretty clever right? Special thanks to  xxpantheonxx for providing this theme.  If you decide to download the theme, please consider donating by click the link below the OTA download.

Feel free to hook up your BlackBerry Bold 9000 with this very hip Jimi Hendrix theme.  So who’s Jimi Hendrix?  If you don’t know, you probably shouldn’t download this theme.  Jimi Hendrix is one of the best, talented rock stars that ever lived if you didn’t know.  One of his famous facts was that he played the right handed guitar with his left.  Every screen you switch between displays different cool images.  The colors are really bright and flashy representing the life of Jimi Hendrix.  The OTA download link is available below.  Special thanks to vibrations1  for providing this cool theme.

The famous and talented Mary J Blige got sniped the other day walking down the street with her girlfriend holding a customized yellow BlackBerry Curve 83xx.  To top it off, she had to match her phone with the bag she’s holding in her right hand?  Is that necessary?  If she had the new 8900 Curve I could understand.  But she don’t need no hateration so why does she ask for it by rockin’ a throwback BlackBerry and flaring it out loud like that?

dub-beyond-business-cards

dubmenow

So what’s DUB?  It’s a free app that lets you send your whole contact info from any kind of cell phone to the address book of the receiver’s mobile phone.  It will update your address book whenever the contact info changes, so that you can easily and conveniently reach your contacts as you need them via email, phone, driving directions.  Pretty cool right?  Additionally, you can invite contacts to connect via social networking sites such as LinkedIn, ‘tag’ or note information about the contact and see when and where you met on Google Maps.

Click here to check out more info on DubMeNow or go to the BlackBerry App World under Social Networking Apps to download it.

scanlife

Yes, pretty impressive right?  We unfortunately haven’t been able to get any barcodes to scan as it may not scan every item.  We have tried BlackBerry cell phone barcodes (IMEI # stickers), cigarettes, and a box of cereal.  If you guys decide to download the application, let us know if you have any luck scanning any barcodes.  It’s a simple application to use, just follow the instructions.  It  can be found under Social Networking Apps in the BlackBerry App World.  Enjoy folks!
