HP and RIM are teaming up to design and launch products and services to increase the productivity levels of the growing number of global mobile employees, which ends up enabling businesses to extend the return on their investments in mobility rather than the traditional office.
“As businesses look for new ways to increase service levels, reduce operational costs and improve productivity, they can meet these challenges by transforming how they manage the infrastructure that powers their mobile workforces,” said Ann Livermore, executive vice president, Technology Solutions Group, HP. “Emerging models of communications and collaboration have created an opportunity for RIM and HP to provide service-based mobile solutions that deliver value to customers.”

At this year’s WES ’09 event in Orlando, Florida, HP will be demonstrating two new amazing solutions. One of which is called HP CloudPrint for BlackBerry® smartphones and the other one HP Operations Manager for BlackBerry Enterprise Server. The HP CloudPrint will of course be for remote printing to HP printers while the other HP Operations Manager holds a lot more interesting specs.
HP Operations Manager Key features
- Consolidates heterogeneous management consoles for physical and virtual infrastructure into a single console, reducing license, maintenance, support, and training costs
- Reduces labor costs by eliminating duplicate efforts of multiple domain experts working independently on symptoms of the same problem rather than the underlying root cause
- Speeds time-to-resolution by showing dependencies among transactions, business services, applications, application components, servers, storage and network components
- Provides measurement-based service level reporting from the business perspective and prioritize IT escalations based on business impact
Expect to see more on the HP and BlackBerry expedenture as we get closer into WES this year. It’s going to be full of surprise, and I strongly believe HP will be among one of those surprises with their incredible strategies and services offered for the BlackBerry smartphone.

The folks over at BGR were able to get first hand screenshots of the AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900. The specs unfortunately are the same as T-Mobile’s so don’t wait for any big surprises. It will be another 3G-less BlackBerry, for those who don’t want the Bold because of its size, but favor 4.6 OS. I myself have the Bold, but will secondarily get the Curve 8900 just because. No real reason, it’s just a comfortable phone, with a new feel to it and that’s that. It is unfortunate that it has no 3G, or UMA for that matter but that’s AT&T for you. Supposed release for the phone is expected to be this June. No official word on it yet, but stay tuned folks and enjoy this Curve’s sexy back.

We received many requests for a Beyonce theme, and here it is! We didn’t expect it to be this custom and great looking, but I’m sure you’ll all get a kick out of it. It’s a Today theme with SMS & MMS, Address Book/Contacts, Calendar, & Browser. The icons are spread nicely in the menu as seen in the screenshots and the font is fashionablly contemporary. Every screen presents Beyonce striking a new pose in a new outfit. When highlighting an icon it lights blue as you switch between them. Enjoy this theme guys! Drop us a comment below letting us know what you think!

It looks like CrackBerry got their hands on a nice screenshot of the all new BlackBerry 8520 Curve, known as the Gemini. Buttons look funny, not so much like the traditional Curve keypad, but more like the 87xx series keyboard (correct me if I’m wrong). So what’s new? The optical trackball looks really interesting. We’ve been through too many fast stages of the trackball if you ask me. First the white one that kept getting dirty, then the black trackball which eliminated the dirt, then we see an optical one. Wow. There’s also as you can see what looks like to be dedicated media player buttons which Engadget confirms to be true. It’s clearly rockin’ WiFi, no 3G, but hey, we can’t all be winners right? Who’s in to buy it?

It’s been awhile since we hooked up our fellow Bold users with a theme so here’s a pretty unique one, more or so for the girls out there, sorry boys. It’s called Candy Stripes and has lots of bright color to it. Who knows, it may suit some of you guys as well. At a quick glance, the icons appear to be similar to the ones of the origina Bold 9000, but if you look close enough you will that it is a completely different icon set. Check it out yourselves! Special thanks to Shellbell67 for providing us with this theme!

Very well respected actress Jennifer Aniston got her paparazzi shot head on as she’s walking in the rain under her umbrella, with a stock BlackBerry Bold. It’s nice to see that not every celebrity is full of themselves adding crazy colorware and diamonds to their devices, or even matching their outfits with them. Props to Jen.

Here’s a first look at a screenshot of the all new Xobni for BlackBerry. It’s a very exciting program to see releasing for BlackBerry as it is traditionally available for Microsoft Outlook via PC. We gave you the scoop on Xobni last month, releasing its details and how great its advantages are. TechCrunch was able to provide us with this great screenshot, as we see the search bar up top and the email search results in the bottom. Pretty cool application to us all, and we can’t wait for its release!
