It started getting quite annoying getting rerouted to the BlackBerry Browser when trying to do certain functions throughout the Facebook Mobile. So what’s new with the new and improved Facebook 1.6? First off you can get full feed support in the application allowing you to view and comment on friend status updates and highlights. Profile and wall viewing has also been implemented into the application. Traditionally when we want to view a profile via BlackBerry, the Facebook app will reroute us to the mobile view in the Browser. Now it will stay in the application and you will be able to view and comment on friends’ profiles and wall updates. Photo viewing has became easier now as you can view and comment on them as well.
Hold on to your BlackBerry til May 28th, only 4 days away and you will be eligible to update your Facebook 1.5 to version 1.6 soon enough. Stay tuned for more folks!

The past few weeks, we have been getting endless amounts of requests for a pink theme for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, especially one of our dear readers Noha Osman. This theme is based on the stock theme that comes with the device, but the colors are all changed around and the icons are customized to an extent. It’s not a theme that will throw you off like many others with the random looking icons. This theme pretty much keeps the same style icons but with some small changes that help better the theme as a whole. So where’s the aqua color?? When making a phone call you’ll see where aqua plays its role. OTA link for this theme is available below. Special thanks to mariag32 for providing this great theme. Again this theme has been requested by Noha Osman. Enjoy.

Good job Paris, you did it again. In her recent trip to France, she has lost her BlackBerry. I guess that’s what you get for flaring your BlackBerry Bold infront of the BlackBerry Storm Promo Photo Shoot.
It’s not even like the first time that she lost her device. It happened way back in 2005, and all these celebrity phone numbers were leaked left and right.
Paris Hilton is frantically searching for her BlackBerry phone after misplacing it during her trip to France. The socialite, currently in the French Riviera for the Cannes Film Festival, was spotted rushing through Antibes’ Hotel Du Cap in the early hours of Friday, retracing her steps in a bid to locate her missing gadget. And heiress Hilton is desperate to track down the phone before her personal emails, text messages and phone numbers of her celebrity friends are leaked online. She told Britain’s Daily Mail, “I don’t know where or when it went missing but I know I’ve got to find it. “It’s the worst thing that could have happened. It has all my contacts in it and the last thing I want is for it to fall into the wrong hands.” It’s not Hilton’s first telephone trauma – in 2005, her Sidekick was hacked and the star was forced to apologise to several A-list pals after their phone numbers flooded the Internet.

All colors have a nice brown finish to them and the fonts are pretty much all in script. Check it out for yourselves folks. This theme is only for the BlackBerry Bold 9000. Sorry to anyone else who’s drooling over this theme owning a Curve 8900 or Storm. I would reccommend this theme for everyone.

It looks like RIM has decided to discontinue the not so successful SurePress technology that they had implemented in the original BlackBerry Storm. What is SurePress? It was the technology of the touch screen in which you actually clicked the screen to type. The Call, End, Back, & BB Menu appear to be on the same surface as the actual screen. So what to expect? By the look of the video and pictures, it will be a simple touch screen. We’re hoping to see more out of it, and not just a SurePress-less BlackBerry. (more…)
