It’s half time and Kanye runs to his BlackBerry Curve 8310 via AT&T to update the score of his basketball game. I guess his team is down in quite a few points as you can see his biting down pretty hard on his towel. Then again maybe he’s pissed AT&T took his roll over minutes, how could they be so heartless?

One of our AT&T sources told us that reps went around to the retail stores announcing the availability of the BlackBerry Curve 8900 to be stocked in the back as soon as by the end of this week. Not only do we see it on the rebate notices, but the AT&T corporate reps are confirming it to be true. Click the image above to see the rebate form in a bigger size. Sorry for the blurryness. The first line displays the BlackBerry Curve 8900. It’s exciting to see that as time goes by, the deadline for the Curve 8900 via AT&T and many other great devices seem to be changing their release dates to be sooner and sooner.

Snikkr is a cool little program mainly for social productivity that brings together social networking, productivity and location-based services to your BlackBerry device.
Snikkr lets you share your location, status and favorite places with your friends, family and co-workers on the go. You decide how much to share with each friend, and for how long. Going on a trip with some friends for the weekend? Snikkr let’s you share your location and relevant places with those friends for the next 48 hours. On Monday morning, your location stops being shared.
Snikkr’s location-based and social networking features are integrated into your smart-phone’s built-in calendar and contacts. Want to get directions to that upcoming meeting? Just one click from your phone’s calendar application and you get turn-by-turn directions from where you are now. Need to see where your contact’s business is on a map? Just one click for that, too.

Unlike other productivity tools, Snikkr is fully integrated into your existing applications. No re-typing addresses and names into Snikkr that are already in your phone’s contact list.
Snikkr is built from the ground up for smart-phones, and designed to make things you need to do from your phone easy and fast. Driving to a meeting and trying to fumble with your phone’s browser to enter an address and get directions? Better pull over first! But with Snikkr, you can get those directions with a single click, much faster than it takes the next stoplight to change.
Unlike many other mobile social applications, Snikkr makes your smart-phone a first class citizen, with a fully optimized, native application.
If you are at your computer, you can still use Snikkr’s great location-based and social networking features. See where your friends are right now, and send messages and favorite places to whatever device they are using now.
Planning a trip? Use the web version of Snikkr to look up places to eat, stay and visit, and quickly add them to your favorites. Those favorites automatically sync to your phone, and are shared with your Snikkr friends.
Unlike mobile-only applications, Snikkr can be used from the Web, and gives you access to great location-based social productivity services right from your desktop.

We’ve all seen celebrities like Jay Z and Mary J. Blige rock custom BlackBerry devices. What do I mean by custom? It doesn’t go further than getting a new cool faceplate with a unique color to stand out. How about blingin’ out your Berry?
First question to ask, is it really that good looking? I mean seriously. Does your BlackBerry Pearl look a lot more practical now? We’ve gone around today showing pictures of blinged out BlackBerry devices just to see what the people had to say.
For those who opposed the idea..
- 48 people out of 75 said that the bling was ridiculous to have on the BlackBerry.
- 42 of the 48 agreed that the device would depreciating as the phone dropped and diamonds fell out.
- 31 out of the 48 would not get it done to their BlackBerry devices even if it were free
And for those who liked the bling..
- All 27 out of the 75 who liked the bling were turned off when they found out how many thousands of dollars people were spending to cover it all up
- 19 out of the 27 said they would get fake diamonds put on their BlackBerry devices as long as it looked real to others.
- The other 8 out of the 28 disregarded the fact completely and didn’t support the bing on the Berry any more.

It was a horrible sight seeing him in the hit movie IRON MAN, carrying that excuse of a cellphone LG phone with the TV capability. Yes he was video chatting to his headquarters all the way from the desert, but the BlackBerry still suits him well. We can’t tell if he’s sending/receiving something funny or if he is grossed out by something that was sent to him. Any guesses?
