blackberry8900

After browsing the Cool9500, we came across a fake version of the Curve 8900 titles “BlackBerry8900″ in one word.  Don’t you wish your Curve had a touch screen?  Well your bootleg version could have it!  It looks pretty much the same as the original BlackBerry Curve 8900, except it looks like it does have a bigger screen, and the BlackBerry logo appears to be on the bottom of the screen rather than the top.  It also has the “song shaking function.”  Who recalls the new iPond nano that allows you to shake the device to shuffle songs?  This “BlackBerry” does the same thing!  The device takes dual sim card and has a built in FM radio as well.  Read below for other specifications of the device:   (more…)

facebook_8900

We showed you the Facebook theme for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 earlier last week.  This one is for the BlackBerry Curve 8900.  The icons in this theme are a lot more Facebook oriented and actually look like your favorite social networking site.  When someone calls you, it displays the login screen that you use to login to Facebook.  The lock screen displays really cool Facebook art with your standard alerts.  Check it out for yourself.  OTA link is available below.  Enjoy folks!  Special thanks to Jen from CoolBlackBerryThemes.com for providing this theme.

fake-storm-1

I guess we were counting the days until the folks over in China made their version of the BlackBerry Storm.  We all saw the iClone and it similar attributes it had towards the actual iPhone.  So what did they call this device?  The Cool9500!  Anyway, we were shocked to see that it had gold trim, and also alleged SurePress as well included.  Too bad patents don’t go further than the US.  We also see that this device has a built in TV tuner, who would of thought? You can see the hideous antenna on the bottom popping out.  For only $127, you can order this device here.  Click the image above to see a bigger screenshot.  Read below for more specs on the Cool9500.   (more…)

bbcurve8900impressions

CNN Money confirms that the not so exciting any more BlackBerry Curve 8900 will be releasing for AT&T early this summer.  Great device we are looking forward to but why oh why must 3G be left out in the cold?

Metal Gear Solid 4, being one of my favorite games on the PlayStation 3 platform has finally came to life on the BlackBerry Curve 8900 platform.  It is based on the hit video game series that started out on the first PlayStation platform.  Anyway, this theme has awesome background images for each screen, giving you great memories of the amazing video game play.  Special thanks to nemo2xg  for providing this theme!

8320

BGR got a clean picture of what seems to be the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 debuting for Verizon Wireless.  Here’s some interesting facts the BGR got in regard to the Verizon based BlackBerry devices:

  • All Verizon BlackBerry handsets launched after the BlackBerry Tour will have Wi-Fi
  • The Storm 2’s screen does not press in like SurePress, rather it operates more like traditional capacitive touch screen panels. We’re not sure if the rumored TruePress is just localized haptic feedback or what, but we can’t imagine RIM abandoning their entire fucking selling point on the Storm.
  • We have no idea what to think of this part, but, our tipster said the BlackBerry Tour would be accompanied by a BlackBerry Atlas with the Atlas having Wi-Fi, not the Tour. Again, don’t flip out, but it’s just what was told to us by this particular tipster.
  • BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 release is “imminent”. We’d say May release, June latest.
  • 8230 specs… EV-DO Rev. 0, 2.0 MP Camera, 3.5 ounces, Flash 128 MB, RAM 64 MB, SD Card – Expandable to 16GB, Usage/Standby – 220 min. / 216 hrs.

mr_t

BlackBerry Cool posted a quite funny, yet true quick facts in regards to respecting the BlackBerry and things that need to be laid out and known about the device.  I had to share it with you guys here as well.  Big thanks to Kyle over at BlackBerry Cool for the sense of humor.

1. It’s a mobile computer not a fruit.

Many journalists, make the mistake of writing the plural form of BlackBerry as “BlackBerries.” The plural form of BlackBerry is ‘BlackBerry devices’ or ‘BlackBerry smartphones.’

2. There are 2 capital letters.

Again, the BlackBerry is not a fruit which only takes a capital at the beginning of a sentence. BlackBerry is a brand name with 2 capital letters.

3. A BlackBerry device is not a mobile phone.

A RAZR is a mobile phone. Anything made by Sony Ericsson is a mobile phone. A BlackBerry is not a mobile phone. The BlackBerry stands alone as a powerful device for enterprise and prosumers. If a group of devices are to be mentioned in a sentence, BlackBerry must stand alone. For example, “please submit your pagers, mobile phones, BlackBerry devices and laptops.”

snapplecap

This is a fun yet useless application for your BlackBerry Storm.  It is what it is, a Snapple cap you can keep on popping.  It will come in handy annoying people, or for one day when you’re car gets towed by the NYPD, and you sit at the car impound for 3 hours waiting for your car.  You may find otheruses as well.  OTA link available below.  Enjoy folks!
