Check out this awesome fan made theme based on our site.. PocketBerry!  It’s a Today Plus theme, but that’s not all.  If you can see, there is 16 customizable icons displayed on the bottom!  Everyone always has their dilemma picking 4-8 shortcuts, so it was decided that doubling up would not hurt anyone!  The home screen font is the same in the logo which is pretty cool as well.  All icons are still Bold-styled which is good for those who are still proud fans of it!  Special thanks to OCK for this great theme!

Yet another OS release, for those folks not confident in putting a leaked 5.0 OS, check out this official release for 4.6.1.250 via TIM Italy.  If you decide to download it, don’t forget to delete the “vendor” file located in C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/Apploader/ after installing the OS to your PC but BEFORE launching Desktop Manager.  Enjoy folks!

The Noble theme for BlackBerry is the one you’re going to be using full time if you do decide to download it.  Starting up top on the home screen, you have a Media, Clock, & Mail button available.  In the middle where the background picture is displayed, you have 8 customizable icons to display over there which you can display and hide at ease by using the up and down arrow buttons available underneath.  At the bottom of the home screen, you have the two arrows with a Calendar button in between.  If you decide to change the background image, it will change in both the menu and home screen.  Pretty cool right?  In this theme, any third party application icons look great with the stock Noble icons.  It’s not one of those themes where other icons look awkward because the stock ones are all in sync.  I personally am using this theme myself since yesterday and I suggest you guys grab yourselves a Noble theme as well.  This theme is only for the BlackBerry Storm 9500/9530, BlackBerry Curve 8900, and BlackBerry Bold 9000.  For only $6.99, you can download it on your phone.  Below is a link to their site where you can see screen shots and download it.  Screen shots are available below.  Enjoy folks!

Yesterday evening, I was lucky enough to be able to view The Daily Show with Jon Stewart live in the New York City studio with some PocketBerry colleagues and friends.  Before the show aired, we were given the opportunity to ask Jon Stewart questions of any kind.

I promptly raised my hand and asked him “BlackBerry or iPhone?”  Jon replied “Well what do you use?”  Firmly, I told him that I am a full time BlackBerry user.  He then went along saying that he does indeed currently own an iPhone but is so disappointed with its service dropping.  “I lose service three times on the way to the studio,” Jon stressed. “And I live right next door.”

Although he’s using an iPhone via AT&T, he is unhappy, and perhaps will go ahead to another carrier and purchase a BlackBerry smartphone.
