Tabbed Internet Browsing confirmed on OS 5.0
by The PocketBerry Team
It’s been confirmed that OS 5.0 will be enhanced with tab browsing. Having the single BlackBerry browser has been wonderful over the years, but there are those moments where you want to switch between pages without having to reload at all. Personally in cases like that, I had to use a secondary browser such as Opera Mini or Bolt Browser but it would be nice just to have it all in one platform. With the new and improved OS 5.0, tabbed browsing is made easy as the option is right in your menu.
Speeds of the browser have improved as well, which will probably make tabbed browsing more of a reality for us. I don’t know how likely it would be to start loading a page then load up another tab and load another at the same time as your BlackBerry’s processor may not handle that very well. With all the enhancements in 5.0, we hope the hour glass and clock have been eliminated. Yeah right.
But personally, we don’t know if we are more excited for this OS update or the release of Skyfire. Tabbed browsing or full flash and embedded media support?
