Slacker Radio gets locked and loaded on all Verizon BlackBerry Storm devices
by The PocketBerry Team

Slacker and Verizon have come to agreement to equip all their BlackBerry Storm 9530 devices with Slacker Radio. When the news broke out yesterday, there was a big misunderstanding as to what had happened exactly, as most blogs and headlines made it seem as though Slacker Radio just got released for the Storm, when in reality the breaking BlackBerry news was that Slacker Radio will be equipped on every BlackBerry Storm 9530 right out of the box. So what’s the big deal about this? Verizon is very famous with their VCAST software which they distribute throughout all their devices, enabling Verizon customers to get songs, video clips, and tones all through the software. Now by equipping a streaming radio application by default which happens to be free, it will obviously decrease the usage of VCAST.
Don’t have Slacker Radio yet? Even though you should by now since it is the best streaming audio application you can have on you BlackBerry, click here to download it from your BlackBerry Browser or have a link sent to your device there as well.
