There’s a new BlackBerry Twitter application in town called Tweetcaster brought to you by Handmark.  It is absolutely free of charge for you to download.  The clever part to it is that you must “tweet” once from it to be able to download it for free!  So what’s different about this app? You can actually view who’s near you within a 25 miles radius if you like.  The Tweetcaster demo video is available here if you’d like to see more info on how it works. Key features include: URL shortening, picture sharing, @replies and retweets, GPS locator, toggling multiple accounts, and trending topics as they come.

The navigation tabs are all up top, easy to flip through.  This is honestly better than many premium Twitter apps we’ve seen there and all this costs you is a tweet.  Download it today by clicking here.
