Sandisk MicroSD

How does this affect you, the BlackBerry users?  For starters, you all have MicroSD card slots on your BlackBerry devices (8100 or more).  Walt Disney Company has partnered with Panasonic to go ahead with this interesting project in providing movies on MicroSD cards.  This isn’t going to air any time soon in the US as it is in Japan right now.  There are no references made that this will be for BlackBerry devices, as it looks as though portable media players of some sort may be needed to play the files.  The idea is out there, and not so far fetched as the BlackBerry device has both the MicroSD card slot and media player.  If the format of the videos won’t be compatible with the current BlackBerry media player, there is always alternative solutions sucha s third party software that can be implemented.  Films releasing first on MicroSD are the “Pirates of the Caribbean” and “National Treasure” series.
