The time has finally come. After seeing aftermarket applications for Google Voice and coping without BlackBerry functionality for it, the official app has landed. As you all know by now the application is released and we have updated our earlier post from this morning saying so. Google Voice hasn’t disappointed at all in any way yet as everything it promised is possible. You can now make calls using your Google Voice phone number through the mobile application as well as send FREE text messages back and forth. The home screen of Google Voice for BlackBerry displays the Dialer and Inbox right next to it.
Within the dialer, you will see an empty box where you can type a phone number in or bring one up from your actual BlackBerry phone book. Below it, you will see that it has a list of all recent calls that were made including incoming, outgoing, and missed calls.

At the annual general shareholders’ meeting at Canada’s Research in Motion on Tuesday, a child asked among a huge audience “are you going to make a phone more for kids so that my Mom will let me get one?”
This question was of course addressed to the RIM Co-Chief Executives Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis as they had to cook up some sort of response for the infant. Lazaridis then spoke out saying “there’s lots of opportunity and, you know, if the current BlackBerrys aren’t acceptable to your mother, hopefully the next ones will.”

Picture a world where all your messages and emails can viewed and accessed at any time by others. Sure your carrier has access to records, messages, and other things of that nature in regard to your cellular phone, but what if you found out that information like that was being passed on through a third party source? There was a recent update for BlackBerry devices over in the United Arab Emirates based carrier Etisalat which was supposedly a “performance enhancement patch” included in it as they had advertised but turned out to be otherwise. It turns out there was potential for some spyware in it, giving the carrier Etisalat the abilities to keep a close eye on customers’ messages sent back and forth via BlackBerry.

It’s no secret that there aren’t many themes for the BlackBerry Curve 8350i, so we at PocketBerry feel there’s no need to segregate the device users. Here’s a party theme that comes in 4 different versions as you can see below. There has to be a color fit to your taste and preference so enjoy it all 8350i-ers. Special thanks to flagirljams for providing this great set of themes. The OTA link is available down below the screen shots. It is ONLY compatible with the BlackBerry Curve 8350i and is NOT with any other Curve including the 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, and 8900.
