“Independent sources have concluded that it is possible that the installed software could … enable unauthorized access to private or confidential information stored on the user’s smart phone,” the company said in an eight-page statement strongly distancing itself from the decision to install the software.
As we all know, previously last week, Etisalat had sent text messages to BlackBerry customers instructing them to follow a link to update their phones with a “performance enhancement patch.” Some customers who did so said the new software quickly drained the device’s batteries, prompting hundreds of complaints to Etisalat and sending users to Internet message boards looking for ways to fix the problem.

Unlike the previous BlackBerry Storm 9500 & 9530, the all new 9550 Storm 2 does have a clickable screen but does not physically move. In previous prototypes we saw that SurePress was removed, but TruePress is certainly in play here. CrackBerry has been playing around with the device for quite some time and were nice enough to post a video showing how the device works exactly. Within the video, we learned that you do actually have a click of some sort without the screen moving like the older Storm did. This calls for more accurate virtual button pressing and hopefully a better OS.

BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac screen shots have been released by RIM through their new official blog. As you can see here, this is where the magic all starts off. In my opinion that is more attractive then your average BlackBerry Desktop Manager for PC. In this screen shot, we see that it displays a sexy stock picture of your device with all its specs on the side including your PIN. Functionality look pretty straight forward and easy to use, as it is a Mac after all.

After the first Transformers film, many people fell in love with Megan Fox. This summer the second film came out and now everyone is in love with the actress. Since she has done such a great job in her role within both movies and everyone loves her now, it only seems appropriate to share a BlackBerry theme based on Megan Fox, especially with her new horror/comedy film releasing, hard to tell what it is..? Any way, this theme is only for the BlackBerry Storm 9500 and BlackBerry Storm 9530. Each screen you navigate through as you can see displays a different pose of the actress Megan Fox. The main home screen gets a calendar with what looks like to be up to 3 appointments shown. at a time. Clicking the screen will take you to the all your icons where another pose of Megan Fox shall appear. Special thanks to sndollinger for providing this theme. Below you’ll find screen shots and an OTA link to download this Megan Fox theme right to your BlackBerry Storm via the BlackBerry Browser.
If you do decide to download this theme, please feel free to make a donation by clicking here.
