Many people have been complaining over the weekend in regards to the recent leak of BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.  It was very cool for many, still might be, while others are encountering endless problems.  Some similar problems have been seen this time around as some of us did in OS update 4.5 beta.  It seems as though the problem people are having in sending messages seems to be from the Proximity option which can be located in the settings of BlackBerry Messenger when in the actual application.  Many have reported that disabling it will enable your messages to send again.  Personally I was experiencing this problem and must say it has resolved the issue up til now so you should all give it a try as well.

The famous car news and reviews website egmCarTech.com has went ahead in expanding by enabling a BlackBerry-friendly website.  So what’s so cool about it?  There are many mobile sites out there, but this one gives you the closest experience possible to the desktop website.  For example, posted videos via YouTube and other media such as pictures can be viewed both on the mobile and desktop website.  Some major websites lack that feature where you can only see content to a certain extent, forcing you to get on to the desktop.  In this case everything you need is accessible.  The search bar on the bottom can be used for anything you want to access fast.  Want to check out the full review on the 2010 Camaro? Search for anything and you will see appropriate results for exactly what you need.

future

This theme is pretty much the same as the stock one you receive when purchasing device although some alterations have been made.  There are now 2 extra icons on the home screen as you can see, making theme almost like an L shaped theme, perhaps a “U” rather.  The menu and home screen fonts have been changed to cursive and the background images are hi def ones which allow the theme to be called “Future Theme.”  Special thanks to  nemo2xg for providing this great theme.  This theme is only for the BlackBerry Curve 8350i, as it is NOT compatible with any other 83xx series devices or the 8900.  OTA Link is available below along with screenshots.

The BlackBerry Storm 9530 has been $199.99 since its release late last year.  We saw buy one get one free offers from Verizon where you could literally purchase any BlackBerry including the Storm and get a second one free (with a plan that is).  There’s a new Berry in town going by the name BlackBerry Tour 9630 who is pretty much the top notch BlackBerry Verizon has to offer at the moment.  Being $199.99, Verizon has decided to bring the Storm price down 100 bucks, given that the Tour and Storm are nowhere near a similar comparison in specs.  So go ahead and grab your BlackBerry Storm today as it went down in price by 50%.  If you have been MIA from BlackBerry for the past year, here’s the specs on the BlackBerry Storm 9630 brought to you by Verizon Wireless:

Slacker_Storm

Slacker and Verizon have come to agreement to equip all their BlackBerry Storm 9530 devices with Slacker Radio.  When the news broke out yesterday, there was a big misunderstanding as to what had happened exactly, as most blogs and headlines made it seem as though Slacker Radio just got released for the Storm, when in reality the breaking BlackBerry news was that Slacker Radio will be equipped on every BlackBerry Storm 9530 right out of the box.  So what’s the big deal about this?  Verizon is very famous with their VCAST software which they distribute throughout all their devices, enabling Verizon customers to get songs, video clips, and tones all through the software.  Now by equipping a streaming radio application by default which happens to be free, it will obviously decrease the usage of VCAST.

This theme if for the BlackBerry Curve 83xx meaning the 8300, 8310, 8320, 8330, 8800, 8820, 8830 but NOT the 8350i or the 8900.  It’s called iPhone/Bold 4.5 as it takes features from both the Bold 9000 and iPhone.  It comes in FOUR different versions: Bottom Dock, Bottom Dock with Calendar, Bottom Dock Messages, and Bottom Dock Calendar & Messages.  The icons are great as they are based of the iPhone and the whole layout is very simple.  Again, this theme is only for the 88xx series and Curve 83xx series.  OTA links are available below the screen shots. Special thanks to  antizzy87 for providing this great theme.

Many of you see this theme and are shocked as to why it is free, as it definitely looks like a premium theme.  The theme is absolutely free and for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 device only.  The theme is all shades of blue but a fantastic job was done on all icons as they’re all customized.  The bottom dock on the home screen is a little bit similar to the Mac OSX themes we have seen, but changed completely at the same time.  Time, date, and carrier are all pretty much in the same place.  All fonts have been smoothed out to give the theme a more trendy look to it.  Special thanks to xfluidx for providing this great theme.  The OTA link is available below.
