After years and years of tweaking the BlackBerry to teather through various third party software and adjustments of Microsoft Windows modem settings, the next BlackBerry Desktop Manager is going to provide the option built in.  Make sure you to have a tethering data plan with your carrier as you may end up getting high data charges with your carrier. Here’s a great video to walk you through the all new leaked BlackBerry Storm OS version 5.0.0.191 that’s been all over the Internet for the past few weeks.  You’ll get to see the incredible features of “flick scrolling” which the iPhone had and the Storm lacked in for quite awhile.  The OS is obviously a lot more fast and responsive than its olver 4.7+ versions.

With AT&T’s official update last week, we have an even later update this week leaked out for 4.6.0.301.  This OS is ONLY for the BlackBerry Bold 9000.  Install at your own risk.  If you decide to, don’t forget to delete the vendor file.  Let us know if you install it and any new changes you might see in the build.  We have a desktop download of the OS below.  Enjoy.

In promotion of the all new Windows 7 operating system releasing for the PC, here’s a theme based on it.  The backgrounds and icons are very similar to what you will expect to see in the new OS (for Windows that is).  You get a 5 icon customizable dock on the bottom along with some indicators down there on the far right as well.  This keeps your desktop really clean looking, allowing you to set nice images as your wallpaper and seeing them in full.  Special thanks to KrisR9706 for providing this great theme.  The OTA link is available below the screenshots.  Enjoy.

Prices have just gone even lower.  It wasn’t too long ago that Verizon put their BlackBerry Storm 9530 at $99.99 making it 50% cheaper.  Now we see that it has taken another 50% price cut making it only $50 to purchase with a plan now.  Are these all standard procedures leading to the release of the Storm 2?  I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised with all the rumors and leaked images showing that it will be released before the end of this year.

In recent news, a man who had refused to hand over his BlackBerry to a thief got stabbed to death this past Friday.  The victim named Akeel Mathieson was leaving an Internet cafe (assumed to have a BlackBerry at hand) when a man came out of nowhere placing a knife to his neck and demanded to take his brand new device.  Akeel refused to give it up and got stabbed in the chest one time.  After the thief took his BlackBerry and ran away, Akeel had attempted to make his way back to the Internet cafe and ended up collapsing, said the police.  It wasn’t late at night or anything as it was only 5:15PM over on Lord Stree in San Fernando.

Of course right after seeing the leaked videos of .191 via BlackBerry Tour show up everywhere on the Internet, exclusively without any download links, a day later it has been found and thankfully shared with the community this time.  This is the OS for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.  It is not a final release but is the latest build out there for OS 5.0 via the Tour.  Don’t forget to delete the vendor file if you do decide to install.  Enjoy.
