SplashShopper is a shopping list application for BlackBerry handhelds that is perfect for keeping lists of groceries to buy, movies to rent, CDs to buy, books to read and more! Easily manage and synchronize shopping lists on your handheld and desktop with the included desktop software (for Windows platform only).  SplashShopper manages your lists of groceries, gifts, to do lists, wines, music, movies, and much more.  It allows you to create an infinite amount of shopping lists, all categorized differently with custom fields and even icons.  As we were able to get a hands on a copy of the software and have been playing around with it for a few weeks, it has been decided that SplashShopper can become very essential in a busy person’s life.  Whether you are a chef, business owner, or just a human, SplashShopper will take your grocery and shopping list to a whole new level.  To keep you on the right track, the app comes with a lot of preloaded lists to show you how everything works within.

In the examples they give, displayed is books, Chinese takeout, clothes, gifts, and many others.  Let’s just say we want to select Chinese Takeout.  You’ll be brought to the next screen as you can see above.  It’ll show you all the contents of the Chinese Takeout, displaying different meals offered, the store it is available in and its price.  Up on top, you can easily customize the fields and sort it out as you want it to be.

When you click the menu button on a selected item, you can customize it as an urgent item by selecting “Mark as needed.”  After marking it, you’ll see a symbol next to the item resembling its importance.  Also you can mark all the items as needed through the same menu as well.  The app is really easy to navigate through as you can see.  So what else?  SplashShopper comes with a free desktop application to manage it all there and sync it to your BlackBerry.  Times get tough on the BlackBerry sometimes, inputting so much data with your thumbs.  Adding the desktop app eliminates any inconveniences you may have.
