Man gets stabbed & killed over BlackBerry

In recent news, a man who had refused to hand over his BlackBerry to a thief got stabbed to death this past Friday. The victim named Akeel Mathieson was leaving an Internet cafe (assumed to have a BlackBerry at hand) when a man came out of nowhere placing a knife to his neck and demanded to take his brand new device. Akeel refused to give it up and got stabbed in the chest one time. After the thief took his BlackBerry and ran away, Akeel had attempted to make his way back to the Internet cafe and ended up collapsing, said the police. It wasn’t late at night or anything as it was only 5:15PM over on Lord Stree in San Fernando.
Akeel was a cameraman on a gospel cable channel called Acts 25 lived in Vistabella on Jarvis Street. His father is unable to deal with the situation and continues to get phone calls as to what happened to his son and is unable to take it anymore. Homicide detective are still continuing the investigation in bringing the murderer in custody.
