Prices have just gone even lower.  It wasn’t too long ago that Verizon put their BlackBerry Storm 9530 at $99.99 making it 50% cheaper.  Now we see that it has taken another 50% price cut making it only $50 to purchase with a plan now.  Are these all standard procedures leading to the release of the Storm 2?  I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised with all the rumors and leaked images showing that it will be released before the end of this year.
