Tour Themes

You’ve all seen Elecite’s incredible themes around here, and in case you didn’t know, they are one of the nicest premium theme makers out there as they take your BlackBerry to a new level.  From PlayStation 3 styeled menus to other themes containing Windows-looking Start menus, you’ve seen nothing like this before.  Now Elecite has started supported the all new BlackBerry Tour 9630, so all you Tour owners can get in on these incredible premium themes.  The current supported themes for the BlackBerry Tour 9630 via Elecite.com are: Ulterior, Solar, Eerie, Blossom, Mechanism, Noble, xBerry , Inspirat, Ascarii 2.0, PSB, Droid, Leopard, Grunge, Scion, iBerry, Distinct, Opus & Analog.  All are amazing to download so I cannot suggest anyone for you, although I do switch often between Noble and the all new Analog theme which released last week.

Browsing via BlackBerry? Click here to view video

More videos and screenshots show up, as the months and soon to be days come closer to the release of the all new and improved BlackBerry Storm 2/Odin 9550.  You’ll get to see it side by side with the Tour and first generation Bold 2 aka Onyx.  We are all impressed to see the screen does not click when it is locked, but will when the phone is active, without the screen floating around everywhere and shining lights all around the edges.  This is by far the best BlackBerry Storm 2 review out there so make sure you take a peak today.

The BlackBerry Tour 9630 has a lot of catching up to do, especially when it comes to themes.  Not only has it been non-existent while other Berrys floated around, but the device didn’t have customizable themes until weeks after its release.  Here’s a really neat theme I came across this weekend and thought all you BlackBerry Tour users should give a try just because the icons are incredibly arranged to allign with the picture of the billiards balls in the background.  Special thanks to fun2be02 for providing this theme.  It is absolutely free and only for the BlackBerry Tour 9630.  The OTA link can be found below the screenshots.  Enjoy.

We’ve seen what the BlackBerry beta versions of OS 5.0 could do, especially NOT do.  Leaked images of the OS have leaked everywhere and we all thought we had a general idea as to what this OS was truly going to offer.  Just released over the weekend by ZDNet, leaked screenshots of OS 5.0 exemplifying the incredible attributes it is bringing along.   For starters, take a look above at what your home screen could look like.  Who remembers the stock Today theme that came with the 8100, 8300, and 8800 series?

BlueloungeRefresh

Charging your electronic devices every night can get quite annoying as wires tend to tangle up or chargers are all over your room or even house.  Bluelounge presents this unique device called the Refresh Station which allows you to charge all your devices at one time, including your BlackBerry smartphone.  Your desk space is very important to you.  You’ve already got a paper-less office due to your computer.  Now it’s time to get rid of wires running all around the wheels of your chair, making you disabled from rolling around in it.

preview_9630_1

Too many complaints about not having any Tour themes for the guys, so here’s a theme for everyone!  It has iPhone-ish icons and is similar to the iBerry themes we’ve all seen on other devices including the Bold and Curve 8900.  It is absolutely free for download which makes it your lucky day. You can have a link sent to your mobile device or directly download it via OTA.

Everybody likes a different type of style menu on their BlackBerry just to switch things up a little bit.  We usually go after bottom docks, dimension, or even Today themes.  Here we see is a ring-style theme which literally has a rotating circle of applications you can select from right on your home page.  The icons are not customizable unfortunately but the locked apps on the home screen may be to your convenienc.e.  The locked icons are Message, Clock, Browser, Memo, Media, and Calendar.  Special thanks to deremi for providing this great theme.  This theme is only for the BlackBerry Bold 9000.  There are two version for OTA as follows:

OTA for plain Black Colors

OTA for purple color

9630-tile-1

This is our first freebie BlackBerry Tour 9630 theme out there.  I know it is girly, but the theme builder had just gotten updated to work for the Tour 9630 and Curve 8520 not too long ago.  Any way, this is the Hello Kitty Mac theme by budsgurl.  If you have any feedback or requests, feel free to contact here. Enjoy.

This is a simple theme based on flaming skulls, hence the theme’s name.  It is very basic with pretty much the same image on each screen rockin’ awesome 4.6 styled icons. Special thanks to vette71 for providing this great theme.

It was an annoying past 24 hours for many Tweeters as the latest beta version of UberTwitter for BlackBerry (which was an obligation to download) gave a lot of neat options and goodies along with a banner advertisement right on the first line.  Many were not too fond of the idea, but it looks like the ads have been removed.  Perhaps people were tweeting about UberTwitter’s ads too much, or maybe the ads are just temporarily down.  In the meantime, enjoy an ad-free UberTwitter client for BlackBerry, rated the #1 Twitter app for your device.

The creator of UberTwitter has left us all a nice note to clarify the ads-mishap:

We have been listening and have heard you loud and clear! We will not turn advertisements on again until we can offer a a paid option with no advertisements. The paid version will be less then $5 and will likely be a year long subscription model, i.e. all upgrades for a year. If you purchase during the beta period, the year won’t start until we release version 1.0. Thank you for your patience and your feedback!”

So expect to see an advertisement oriented UberTwitter in the future along with a premium version giving no ads and hopefully some great “premium” features as well.
