The icons have all been customized and formatted to be uniform and matching in color to the background textures. The lock screen shows an incredible image of US soldiers in different positions. The whole BlackBerry addiction has become a huge part of our lives and some who don’t have to BlackBerry feel the need to strip it away from others. A few months back we saw Kevin Bacon get his BlackBerry stolen in NY. Now we’re seeing crooked criminals still going at it, stealing BlackBerry devices.
A Quincy man who purportedly embezzled a woman’s BlackBerry at the Broadway T station was prearranged held on $1,500 bail after being wedged and detained by MBTA employees, the authorities said.
The story was that Casey Shawn Tarushka who is currently 23 years old grabbed the device from a 25-year-old victim’s bag a little before 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

So $1,299.99 for the alpha model of the BlackBerry Onyx, is that all? Pre-releases of the 8520 were seen online for only 450 if you can remember. Yes the BlackBerry Onyx has a lot more options and functions, but it still is the alpha model as it still rocks a trackball, rather than the trackpad allegedly promised for the retail model. You can check out the auction here, but don’t bother trying to bid as it is a “Buy it Now” for $1,299.99. At least you get free next day shipping.

Another great theme by jas0ns has just released yesterday, giving you all the premium effects you’d like in a theme, but providing it absolutely free. This theme gives you Today style text with a “snow” icon set, giving you 4 customizable desktop icons. It is only for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and not for any other generation. OTA is available below. Click the above image to see a bigger picture. Personally, this is a really good theme to get while it’s still available just because as we said before, it’s a premium-style theme being offered free.

We are all excited for the new BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac which is expected to release by September. Today we learned more as to what the software is and is not going to offer. There were rumors spreading that BlackBerry Desktop Software was going to be bundled with the all new 8520, and everyone was very sure this was going to happen. Apparently it was a play on words and furthermore just a misinterpretation on RIM’s part which then got twisted through many blogs and forums on the web.
In addition, BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac is aimed at consumer users apparently due to the small market share it holds. The software will not have many of the corporate-mail such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes, and things of that nature. In the Mac’s case, there won’t be Entourage/Outlook support period for it.
