For those unaware what True Blood is, we decided to break it down to you giving you the Wiki- explanation: True Blood is an American television drama series created and produced by Alan Ball. It is loosely based on the The Southern Vampire Mysteries series of novels by Charlaine Harris. The show is broadcast on the premium cable network HBO in the United States. It is produced by HBO in association with Ball’s production company, Your Face Goes Here Entertainment. It premiered on September 7, 2008.  The show’s second 12-episode season premiered on June 14, 2009. On July 30, 2009, HBO confirmed that a third season of True Blood will be released in the summer of 2010. Alan Ball has said that he plans to start shooting the third season before Christmas 2009.  True Blood details the co-existence of vampires and humans in Bon Temps (meaning “good time” in French), a fictional small Louisiana town. The series centers on Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a telepathic waitress at a bar, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).  Now, back to the theme…

Picture 2

Over a week ago, we saw that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 was going to come in lavender as it appeared so by the leaked Verizon inventory images. Over at PhoneUnlimited, right on display is a BlackBerry Curve 8520 in violet color, which we assume was the lavender that Verizon was referring to in the beginning.  It was shocking enough seeing a pink BlackBerry release.  How do you all feel about a violet colored Curve?

Got kids around the house?  Sometimes you have no toys to entertain them with in your house but you know they love playing with your BlackBerry.  It becomes a hassle having them navigate through your menus potentially sending messages to your  contacts or maybe even deleting vital information!  This free baby application called Baby Go keeps babies up to 2 years old entertained on your BlackBerry.  The child will love pressing all the keys on your BlackBerry seeing letter blocks dance around and change color on the screen while letters are pronounced through your speaker. Definitely the greatest peace of mind to know that all your BlackBerry info is safe as this baby plays with your device.  Check out the video below to see a quick demo on it.

This is a few days older from late last week, but we felt the need to post it up as a headline for our famous “Post of the Week” due to the huge hype over BlackBerry OS 5.0.  Everyone’s crazed about OS 5.0 lately as it offers a pretty much new and different experience on the BlackBerry.  We’ve had early releases on the BlackBerry Bold, Curve, and Storm 5.0 OS version but they were having all sorts of issues such as third party software not working and things of that nature.  So what do we see new in this build? It looks like threaded text messaging seems very key here.  In reality, threaded SMS was the next step as that’s a big department where RIM lacks versus Apple’ iPhone.  These are the latest BlackBerry OS 5.0 download links til date so if you are going to download 5.0, make sure you use these links. telefonica

It must be a hot smartphone in Spain as Orange just receive the BlackBerry Curve 8520, and Telefonica here followed the trend as well.  The BlackBerry Curve 8520 so far seems to be the fastest spreading BlackBerry across the globe in such a short period of time.  Given its cheap price and incredible capabilities, it seems to be very feasible to have among many carriers worldwide.  Check out the official press release from RIM below for more details:

blackberry bold new os

It’s a surprise to all of us seeing that AT&T put out the latest BlackBerry OS as they are always so slow with it.  Who remembers the official versions of OS 4.5?  Devices were just coming into 4.6 and AT&T was still putting out OS 4.5 for Curves and Pearls.

Plenty of BlackBerry Bold owners via AT&T (and other carriers if you delete the vendor.xml!)  today got the chance to update wirelessly over the air for the first time ever as Verizon was the only other US Carrier to have the wireless update.  Desktop files were also available to download to install through BlackBerry Desktop Manager. maintenance
