You love your BlackBerry.  It is very important in the event that it drops that you don’t get buffs and scratches all over it.  The Commuter Case by Otterbox is your ideal solution as it is not too bulky to walk around with, and not thin enough to damage your phone when dropped.  The case only goes for $34.95 which is about $15 cheaper than the traditonal Defender case.  The Commuter case is currently available for the BlackBerry Curve 8900, Storm 9500/9530, and Curve 8520.  We put together some links to purchase the case if you’d like along with some specs.  Continue reading to get more info.

Although the official OS is not exactly released yet, the BlackBerry Bold can use its Visual Voicemail capability ahead of the game, a little.  We’ve got the new OS expected to debut August 25th (tomorrow) including an incredible .508 jump along with OTA update capabilities.  The Visual Voicemail app has been included in the latest builds we’ve downloaded from other carriers but it has been nothing but a dead icon that did nothing.  If you have a later OS, you can call AT&T and activate Visual Voicemail absolutely free with no monthly chargers for it.  This goody is only for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 as of now, sorry Curve owners.

At last we have all been blessed with the all new Gmail plugin for BlackBerry devices.  We were following along for months now seeing leaked details about it over at the Google forums.  The Enhanced Gmail plugin for BlackBerry gives you an advanced level of email capabilities as you now have the power to filter out spam and messages you do not want to receive.  Spam filters have been hot topics for BlackBerry devices for many years now, and it is incredible seeing Gmail go first with it.  It is of course absolutely optional and not mandatory, but it wouldn’t be a great idea not putting it in as it is an enhancement. Sensei is a full out diet program all on your BlackBerry.  It goes further than any type of application you have seen.  Sensei for Weight Loss encourages and educates users to develop healthy eating habits. Unlike the rigid and laborious “calorie-counting” techniques of conventional weight-loss tools, the Sensei program is built around the individual preferences, needs and daily lifestyle of the user. This approach results from more than two years of development by Sensei psychologists, physicians, nutritionists and engineers.  Sensei is like having your own nutritionist and health coach at your fingertips, delivering customized meal plans, weekly shopping lists, goal tracking and motivational support to a user’s mobile phone display or personal Web page – prompting consumers at point-of-decision moments to make healthier choices.

I guess we don’t need any more confirmation as it says it without any misunderstanding that the BlackBerry Curve 2 (8530) will be releasing late November this year.  The 85xx series is a basic Curve model giving BlackBerry users a trackpad instead of a native trackball.  Verizon will be the second US carrier to receive the device.  As we heard last week, the device will be coming in black and lavender.  Read more to see the Storm 2 confirmations.

We’re getting on average about one new leaked video on the new BlackBerry Storm 2per week and they just keep getting more and more exciting, showing improvements and enhancements of its younger 9500 & 9530.  This video is very interesting as the gentleman exemplifyin the devices explains the screen’s technologies and tells us why the new one is a success while the old was a complete failure.  Check it out above.
