Resident Evil: Uprising

After the successful mobile game series of Resident Evil, the game creators have quickly launched another for BlackBerry as well.  This time the game gets even crazier and hectic.  Raccoon City is now overrun with zombies and horrifying t-virus mutations.  You of course will roam on your own through missions, avoiding zombie attacks through out the way.  Ration your bullets and pick up important items you’ll need for your voyage along the way.  Take control of Claire Redfield and make your way through a decaying cityscape where every action could mean life and death.  For only $6.99 you can have this game on your BlackBerry by clicking the link below to download.

Salomondrin just got a new device in town known as the BlackBerry Atlas which has some interesting yet odd features in it.  As the device has no 3G, its equipped with EDGE and does indeed have a flash for its camera.  We have to mention things like that now that an 8520 released with no flash at all so we must look at it as a luxury from here on in.  Now for the odd stuff..

So what’s all the key facts known so far?  It currently says Bold on the back.  The keyboard comes from the Javelin.  It is not a 3G enabled device as it has EDGE.  It does include a flash for the camera (thank goodness).  A trackpad is visible, up and running!

One of the funnest mobile applications to own is definitely BugMe! for BlackBerry.  As fun and entertaining as it may seem, it can seem to become quite essential in your life.  Basically what this application does is create notes and set reminder alarms to keep everything organized and on time.  Look at it as your personal assistant right on your BlackBerry smartphone.  When something is scheduled to happen, BugMe! will sound a loud alarm (customizable by the user) and pop-up to alert you.  BugMe! is recognized as the number one note-taking app that works with alarm technology.  As they are in their 12th year in the making, their app continues to grow and better for your benefit.  Continue reading to check out the full press release along with downloading and purchasing links.

This morning in an official press release from RIM, they state that BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac will be officially launched and available for download on October 2nd.  In the middle of the night, many were certain that today was the day as the “Register for Updates” link and BlackBerry.com/Mac were not working active at all for a few hours.  All guesses for wrong and RIM has went ahead to put the delay on for October 2nd.  No one really minds waiting the extra 2 days, but it is just disappointing to see RIM promise September and deliver in October.  Continue reading to check out the full press release.

Indonesia Mobile Web Usage

The United States has this assumption that the Apple iPhone is the best, most successful selling mobile device in the whole world.  It appears that surveys in Indonesia prove otherwise.  Indonesia has the world’s fastest growing mobile consumer markets as of today, and it looks the the BlackBerry is well ahead of the iPhone.  An advertising company InMobi, has BlackBerry ad requests which have increased by 842% while the iPhone ad requests on Indonesia iPhones have by only 205%.  The overall experience craved is clearly the BlackBerry in Indonesia where records are broken in every way possible.  There are about 9 million mobile Internet users at the moment in the country with approximately 591 page views per user which exceeds the global average that’s 250 page views per user (as of 2009).

As it may seem strange to some, T-Mobile made it number one in line for the highest customer service rating.  As you can see in the table above, the in store service get an A- along with Sprint, which is really interesting to see, especially with Sprint’s terms of conditions issues that occurred last year.  Web service is still a new way to cater to customers, so no one yet will be eligible for an A, but T-Mobile breaks through with a B+, scoring higher on its test than any other carrier.  Customer service via phone by T-Mobile has always been nothing but a delight to everyone.  From personal experience in leaving T-Mobile service, offers such as my whole last bill paid along with $100 credit to use for anything T-Mobile was offered just to stay with them.  Overall, T-Mobile racks up an awesome A- as a total average rating, making it dominant over AT&T’s C+ and Verizon & Sprint’s B.

att-blackberry-97001

With all the leaked coverage of the Bold 9700 and impressive hands-on videos all over the web, it makes us drool even more seeing the BlackBerry Bold 9700 appear on inventory databases for AT&T.  By the way the screenshot puts it, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will be available in charcoal color for AT&T.  How dark of a tint will it be?  More like the BlackBerry Curve 8310 perhaps?  We’re going to have to wait and see what’s in store for us.

RIM still promises BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac to release in September, and today is the last day of the month.  The clock is ticking and we haven’t seen anything but a leaked version release so far.  Should we expect to see it release today?  We’re pretty certain as the “Register for Updates” link is no longer active, and BlackBerry.com/mac is inactive as well.  Some sort of construction is going on behind the scenes so stay tuned to see what comes of the promised BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac.
