We read an article posted earlier over at RIMarkable as to whether or not the all new BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 & 9520 will be hyped as the first generation one was.  With the first generation Storm releasing, we did not see the device in as much action as we saw this year with the Storm 2 so there really was no reason to get hyped up by Verizon’s commercials alone.  Of course a stronger initiative in advertising will be required this time around due to all the mishaps from the 9500/9530 first generation Storm.

So to get back to the question, will it be as hyped as it was before?  It should be as it has a lot of improvements, offering features and conveniences far better than the first one.  Of course the first generation BlackBerry Storm promised a lot and failed at that, but we have seen this device in many demo videos, up close and personal.  I strongly believe this generation’s BlackBerry Storm will succeed, taking touch screen devices to a whole new level.  Please do not disappoint us RIM.
