OS Updates »

Late last night a new OS update came for the BlackBerry Curve 8520. It’s a leaked OS so if you do decide to install, make sure you do so at your own risk. Also, when installing making sure to delete the “vendor” file after installing the OS on your PC, but BEFORE you open BlackBerry Desktop Manager to install on your device.

We came across an article from RIMarkable showing a BlackBerry Storm 2 with a paper reading “GSM = AT&T.” We don’t have any final words on official branding but had to share this interesting image which exemplifies some confidence that it will come out for AT&T Wireless. We all know the general specifics on the device. It will be hooked up with WiFi as promised along with all the new technologies such as enhanced typing on the screen, increased speed, and more memory. So when’s the due date? No one knows yet. We told you months ago about the BlackBerry Tour 9630 coming to the US carriers without a camera. It looks like Sprint is pushing it on their site as an available item, which we didn’t even realize before. As for the price, it doesn’t make it cheaper even though it has no camera. The BlackBerry Tour 9630 is available via Sprint for $199.99. Head over to Sprint.com to check out details.

The BlackBerry Bold 9000 just got an official OS update today. After seeing the previous 4.6.0.297 get pulled by AT&T, many folks who didn’t catch that wave were quite disappointed. Just released is OS 4.6.0.301 for carrier AVEA. If you decide to download this OS, make sure you delete the “vendor” file from C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader. After that, enjoy installing your new OS.

It’s been awhile since we posted consistent BlackBerry themes due to all the news releasing and BlackBerry Storm 2 & Bold 2 coverage. Health and fitness are the two biggest dilemmas you might be facing. It becomes very essential to control your diet and manage all caloric intakes on a daily basis. We just got a nice image from the folks over at BenezBlog showing the all new BlackBerry Bold 9700 come up in their inventory. So what’s that mean? The phone appearing in the inventory shows that the device will be releasing soon. There’s no release date info, just the proof here that the device will be coming soon due to its inventory presence.
