OS Updates »

We all know everyone is currently crazed over OS 5.0 now for their device and it seems as though no one is finding any interest in the current OS updates at the moment. Keep in mind that these leaked OS 5.0 links are all leaked betas and are NOT official releases so you might want to downgrade to a current more reliable OS. Here found online is the BlackBerry Storm 9530 OS 4.7.0.167 as well as the 9500′s OS 4.6.0.173. Don’t forget to delete the “vendor” file and of course install at your own risk.

We are all excited about the BlackBerry Bold 9700 aka codename Onyx to finally release here in the US as it is expected to hit AT&T by the end of the year. The new and improved Bold will be smaller in size than the Bold 9000 we currently have, improving many aspects such as memory and speed. The folks over at FeedBerry have once again had a hands-on experience with the device as they did before with the older prototype 9700 that had a trackball rather than the trackpad we see here. We came across this video that was posted all over the web yesterday as many sites had it non-working due to the “terms of use” from YouTube. Enjoy this clip as it stays live for the time being. In this video you’ll get a better look at the device with its full dimensions and basic function. Continue reading to view the full video.

Here’s a pretty cool Today Plus theme for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 called BuufGant. The icons and background are smudge paint styled as you can see and very uniquely designed. The wallpapers are very minimal and simple allowing the theme to function fast as there is sometimes no need for flashy themes on your BlackBerry. The bottom dock gives you 6 icons as the standard Precision theme does and they’re fully customizable. Download the theme for yourself and check it out. The OTA link is available below the screenshots. Enjoy.

Thailand has just announced that it is giving away a few trips to five couples that are willing to blog, chat, and tweet about the country’s most popular cities and beaches. What’s the mission here? It’s quite obvious Thailand is trying to attract more tourists and out of country citizens to come visit and go on vacation in their country. Social media is the new and best way to advertise things like that.

Earlier today, PCWorld emphasizes that the BlackBerry Tour 9630 is the best smartphone you can possibly have as an international traveler. So what’s key about this BlackBerry over any other? The obvious feature of having CDMA and GSM capability in one is a huge factor. There are countries supporting both features, so having a device that will support both networks comes very convenient. Besides that, you have every function of a BlackBerry, which we don’t have to go through as you all own them and know what you are capable of doing with those bad boys. At $200 with a contract, you really can’t get a better deal for a phone this convenient.
