We were all really disappointed with Facebook v1.6 for BlackBerry as it had too many downfalls including poor caching and updates not working properly.  Facebook v1.7 released over the weekend, solving many problems and issues most of us were facing, including adding some nice goodies as well.  Now the application comes with a full News Feed where you see everything you would from the desktop home page.  The News Feed tab can be changed to the Status Updates, Photos, and Links easily by selecting them through the drop down menu as seen above.

Who remembers the long loading time when trying to attempt the friends list?  That also has been resolved, but again not everyone had this problem, but MANY did.  The caching has had a lot of improvements which helps your BlackBerry device memory work more efficiently.  The “feed pre-fetching” feature allows the user not to be required to wait for the Facebook Feeds to update after minutes.  Now it is very much instant.  Lastly, you have the ability to view your own profile by selecting “View my Profile” from the application menu.
