Are you in the market for a BlackBerry Storm 2?  As many are excited for it, there are some things you should look out for when purchasing it.  Salomondrin put together a procedure of what to do when you first get your device.  We’re not trying to make you turn your back on the device or any by this, but just as any other device that launches, there are always chances for defects that I suggest everyone should look out for.

Firstly, look out for the screen!  Everything on the BlackBerry Storm is controlled through the screen (just about).  The life of your Storm evolves around it.  As many beta testers went through devices, they had issues were certain parts of the screen just didn’t click right.  Salomondrin himself had this very same issue as he has put it up as precaution.  So do yourself a favor and turn on the BlackBerry Storm 2 and make sure that all four corners are clicking evenly.

Secondly, and lastly, check out your WiFi on the device and make sure it works.  This has also been a small and slight issue that some beta testers faced, so put the Storm through the test.  Turn on the WiFi through ‘Manage Connections’ and make sure your WiFi icon on your home screen is solid, and not faded.  For all your Verizon customers who are very foreign to BlackBerry WiFi, when the WiFi logo is solid, it is active.  When the WiFi logo is soft and and semi “see-through” it is on but not active or connected to a wireless network properly.
