So the going rate for the device is $179.99 from Verizon Wireless for the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550. The original Storm 9530 went for $199.99 for the two year contract so as a courtesy, Verizon has bumped up the device to $279.99. To top it all off, there will be a $100 mail-in rebate for the Storm 2, making it only $179.99 in end of the day. So which would you rather have? Is it the BlackBerry Storm 2 at $179.99 paying $279.99 up front, or $49.99 up front for the Storm 9530 which will have OS 5.0 on it? We got the full attached rebate form for you.
