Some tip received by the folks over at BGR indicate that the T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9700 launch will be pushed back to November 16th.  Well, we do know that T-Mobile has their BlackBerry Bold 9700 event on November 5th for employees and such where they have to register to go in.  Perhaps we’ll see further details and information come out during the event.  The confirmed price on a two-year contract is $199.99 while buying it with no strings attached will be $449.99.  Stay tuned for more info on the Bold 9700 launch dates from T-Mobile.

BBappworld

Surprisingly, the BlackBerry App World still hasn’t reached every part of the world, as many of us took it for granted.  Indonesia and Singapore just got equipped with the app which will enable them to endless amounts of applications available for BlackBerry.  A few months back, we saw Indonesia get really close to putting a complete ban on BlackBerry devices due to RIM’s slow process of opening a BlackBerry facility within their country.  Later on, that was all voided as RIM did reply back to Indonesia, promising to meet the requirements placed by Indonesia.  I’m shocked to see that RIM went ahead and took this long to launch BlackBerry App World in Indonesia as well.  I guess they’ve extended their patience.  Continue reading for the full press release.

I don’t think I have ever seen the same model BlackBerry get two OS updates in the same date, or hour for that matter.  Well it looks like an even later version of the BlackBerry Tour 9630 OS has been spotted.  We gave you 4.7.1.57 not too long ago, but it looks like Bluegrass Cellular has released 4.7.1.61 for it as well.  This is an official upgrade for the carrier which does not put a high risk in installing as OS 5.0 might be.

BlackBerry Handheld Software v4.7.1.117 (Multilanguage)

Package Version: 4.7.1.117
Consisting of:

  • Applications: 4.7.1.61

Here’s a pretty cool freebie application for your BlackBerry.  It isn’t your average utility as you will be considered a “creeper” if this app is indeed found on your BlackBerry, even worse if it is set as a shortcut button.  PhoneSnoop literally turns your BlackBerry into a remote bugging device. PhoneSnoop by creator Sheran Gunasekera, the software basically lays quietly on a targeted BlackBerry and monitors the phone number of each incoming call. When it detects a number set up in the program’s preferences section, it silently turns on the speakerphone, allowing an attacker to monitor all conversations within earshot of the device.

It looks like dummy models are appearing at Rogers over in Canada.  The white BlackBerry Bold 9000 has already made its move to the US carrier AT&T but is now coming to the Canadian carrier as well.  The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the most exciting device of the year as it is launching next month for many carriers, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it in the beginning of the month.  That also has come to Rogers stores as a dummy model.  So here’s another tease for you all who are biting your nails waiting for these devices to release.

cell_phone_belt

Sou you think your a person of high status if you wear cellular phones on your belt.  That is the strangest and wrongest thought on the matter.  In fact, there are many cases where belt clips get frowned upon as it could come up as arrogance or maybe just exemplifies that you are showing off a device on your belt.   I was reading an article earlier on Gizmodo called “In Addition to Making You Look Like a Douche, Cellphone Holsters May Also Reduce Bone Density.”  Of course BlackBerry is very famous for being rocked on the belt with its in holster and out of holster profile settings.  This had to be addressed to you ASAP.  The article briefly touches up on the fact that cell phones can reduce your bone density based on Journal of Craniofacial Surgery.  They suggest that “electromagnetic fields emitted by cell phones may have a harmful effect on bone density.”  So do yourself a favor and be civilized with your cell phone in your pocket, rather than on your waste, dangling like it’s “ice.”

Yes indeed there are plenty of BlackBerry applications out there that manage and update your Twitter, but here’s a very unique one as it is so simple without all the widgets, graphics and effects.  Ever need to tweet something live right on the spot but don’t have the patience to go through applications, menus, and options to do so?  LittleChirp will come very much in handy for you.  The application is absolutely free from the BlackBerry App World.

LittleChirp lets you update your Twitter status faster than any other app.  It’s hassle free and very simple – it’s designed to be used side-by-side with larger, slower apps that let you follow your friends and manage your Twitter account.
